身の側面に獣足形の４足、および鎖を垂らした花形の座金を鋲(びょう)留(ど)めしています。蓋は中央に宝珠形の鈕を鋲留めし、周囲の甲盛り部に七組の円文と二組の雲文を透彫で巡らしています。透彫にした蓋の円文と雲文を通して、焚いた香が立ち上るように趣向を凝らしています。
